Laurie Singer, M.S., LMFT, BCBA has been a practicing Behavioral Specialist since 1995 and in private practice since 2004. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and earned post-graduate certification in Applied Behavioral Analysis from Kaplan University. Laurie began her college studies at UCLA, and completed her undergraduate degree at UCSB. She received a masters from Cal State Northridge in Educational Psychology and proceeded to earn a license in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Laurie was recognized by the Ventura County Autism Society as the 2010 Service Provider of the Year for her work with adults with autism. She is deeply involved in community issues and is a contributing sponsor to charitable events throughout the region. Since losing her two-year-old son Jacob Singer to cancer in 1987, she has coordinated an annual fun run and fundraiser (Jacob’s Run) in support of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’s Child Life Program, which provides playrooms and support for patients and their families. To date, Laurie – along with her family and friends – have donated over $250,00 to CHLA in memory of Jacob.

Christy has worked with Laurie Singer since 2006 , and has enjoyed living in Southern California since 2005 with her husband, two children and their pug, Cleo.

Danette has been a licensed therapist for more than 20 years. She served as a school counselor in LA County, working with emotionally disturbed children between the ages of 5 and 14. A long-time resident of the San Fernando Valley, she is actively involved in the community, with a special passion towards soccer. She is the mother of 2 teenaged children.

Jackie graduated from San Francisco University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. She has been a Behavioral Specialist for 5 years and completed the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Cal Lutheran University in 2013. She was born and raised in Oxnard, where she lives with her husband and new baby boy. She enjoys an active lifestyle including running.

Krystal earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University Channel Islands in 2013. Born and raised in Ventura County, CA, she has worked in special education as well as behavior therapy for 8 years. An Eagle Scout and a Camarillo native, Brandon earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University Channel Islands.  He often finds himself thinking about the meaning of life, what motivates human behavior, and ice cream. His favorite quote comes from Friedrich Nietzsche: “He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.”

Jessie was born and raised in Ventura County and earned his undergraduate degree from California State University Channel Islands. He is currently enrolled at Antioch University where he’s working towards a masters degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy. Married with two kids and a third on the way, he has drawn on his experience both as a parent and a behavioral specialist to support socially and emotionally disturbed students on the verge of residential placement. He loves sports (he coaches his daughter’s softball team), the outdoors and traveling, but loves them all even more when his family joins in.
