This presentation provides an overview of the challenges parents face when their children reach puberty, reviews the many different ways in which individuals with special needs express themselves upon reaching puberty, and explains the importance of sexual education in keeping children safe. The session details the “Circles” approach to teaching sexual boundaries, developed by M. Champagne and L. Walker-Hirsch.
